Some of my favorite channels are:
- ViolinMD- Siobhan is a Doctor in Canada who makes the most exciting and interesting youtube videos! Granted, the Canadian system is different from the UK. However, the concepts are all the same and her videos just make me so so excited about studying medicine! You definitely need to watch these videos along your medical journey when you need a little boost! @violin.md on Instagram.
- Faye Bate– Faye is soo lovely and has an incredible success story of getting into medicine! She is bringing valuable content on lifestyle, university and medical school to the youtube game. I’m so sure you will love her videos! @fayebate on Instagram!
- Everyday Anna – Anna is going into medicine this year and is just so passionate about medicine and veganism( umm yes!). Once again, Anna has not had a straightforward path to medicine but this just makes her all the wiser! You definitely need to watch and earn from her on your medical journey. Look out for some really helpful and fun content around the first year of medical school soon! @everydayannax on Instagram.
- Emily Ruth- Emily’s youtube channel is filled with so many interesting informative videos around medical topics! There is also so much advice for getting into medical school. It’s one of those ones where if you follow a couple of people, your medic community just keeps growing! I have detailed most of the peoples’ above’ Instagram handles too but I also want to suggest one more.
- Journey2med- Lydie and Hazal are two medical students from Barts and the London University. They are literally on their game with the most helpful tips for getting in, they make it seem so straightforward! They have opportunities on their Instagram like the amazing virtual science fair. I highly recommend any aspiring medics do this! I also LOVE their Youtube channel where you can find me most of the time watching their UCAT tips videos! SO helpful!
